Abstract:Recent research on bioremediation of heavy metal pollution with different kinds of marine biomass including marine algae, bacteria and plants was reviewed.Operational factors and mechanisms of bioremediation process were further analyzed and evaluated. Moreover, the authors stated that further study should focus on the screening of marine bacteria with high accumulation capacity of heavy metals, the effect of environmental factors on bioremediation process and the mechanism of bioaccumulation of heavy metals by marine organisms.
