Abstract：Objective to study the distribution,chemical composition of phthalate esters in marine environment in Quanzhou Bay,China and the significance in environmental science.Methods Gas chromatography-mass pectrometry (GCMS) was applied to analyze 16 kinds of phthalate esters (PAEs) in the surface seawater samples,sediment samples and marine organisms samples in Quanzhou Bay,China.The total concentration of 16 kinds of dissolved PEAs (ΣPAEs) in surface seawater was in the range of 1059.78~5893.17 ng/L,with an average of 2996.82 ng/L.The total concentration of 16 kinds of particulate PEAs (ΣPAEs) in surface seawater was in the range of 11.09~270.39 μg/g,with an average of 110.47 μg/g.In the surface sediments,the ΣPAEs was in the range of 206.6~464.2 μg/kg,with an average of 348.2 μg/kg.In the marine organisms,the ΣPAEs was in the range of 179.29~254.24 μg/kg,with an average of 216.77 μg/kg.The dominated species of PAEs were DiBP,DBP and DEHP.Compared with the concentration of PAEs in other regions in the world,the concentrations of PAEs in marine environment in Quanzhou Bay is lower.
