Abstract:In this study, we took Jiaozhou bay as the study area to build an assessment model, which was used to effectively distinguish the environmental vulnerability of Jiaozhou bay. The mode was based on the quantified a variety of pressures. It was found that anthropogenic emissions of pollutants are the direct factors induced environmental vulnerability in Jiaozhou bay. Climate change and urbanization are the fundamental factors that results in the vulnerability of coastal ecosystem. It is inevitable that the deteriorating environmental ecosystem get along with climate changing and human exploitation. In order to avoid the deterioration in the environmental vulnerability of the coastal zone, it is necessary to control sewage discharge and all the other factors that contribute to coastal ecosystem directly and indirectly.
