Abstract:The geochemical features of rare earth elements of the HZ02 core sediments in tidal flat from Haizhou bay were analyzed, and in order to discuss the material sources. The result shows that, the average concentration values of total REEs metals of the HZ02 core sediments is 225.36×10-6;thecharacteristics of rare earth elements is show that Light REE is high and Heavy REES is low, and medium negative Eu abnormal, and weak negative Ce anomalies. The REE patterns indicated that the sediments originated are matter from the mainland. Therefore, the terrestrial sources control and effect on the sedimentary environment. The sediments sources from Linhong River, followed by the old Yellow River and Yellow River before 1958. The construction of Shilianghe reservoir leads to the reduction of minerals source from Linhong River and the increase of provenance from the open sea after 1958.
