Spatial and temporal pattern analysis of China's ocean green economic efficiency based on the NSBM-Malmquist model

  • The green development of ocean economy has attracted the extensive attention under the background of maritime power construction and ecological civilization. In order to clarify the temporal and spatial pattern of China's ocean green economic efficiency in coastal areas, the NSBM-Malmquist model is used to evaluate the ocean green economic efficiency, and then temporal and spatial evolution trend of ocean green economic efficiency in coastal areas are evaluated respectively from the perspective of one-dimensional and two-dimensional by the spatial econometrics analysis approach. The study finds that the increase of China's ocean green economic efficiency is mainly benefited from the improvement of the ocean economy governance efficiency; the growth rate of ocean green economic efficiency is limited, technological progress index of ocean economy shows a technological backwards with different degrees; ocean green economic efficiency shows the temporal and spatial pattern with characters of 'high, medium and low transformation of efficiency growth, high and medium growth areas dominant, gradually increases from north to south'.
