Abstract
Based on the background survey in the fishery ecological restoration area in HaizhouBay,Lianyungang, in 2003, using the Ecopath module of EwE program, the present study constructed the simple model of energy flow of ecosystem in this area and evaluated the stability of original ecosystem in the ecological restoration area. The result indicated that the energy flow of original ecosystem was dominated by grazing food chain, 54.00% of the energy being utilized and transferred to high trophic levels by grazing path. The trophic levels of functional groups varied from 1.00~4.37. The total energy flow in ecosystem was estimated to be 21946.70 t/km2/a, and the total net primary productivity of the ecosystem was 9500.00 t/km2/a. The energy flow in ecosystem network was concentrated into six trophic levels. Transfer efficiency from primary producer and debris were 14.20% and 13.60% respectively, and the mean transfer efficiency was 13.80%. The TPP/TR ratio was 4.51, the connectivity index was 0.27, the omnivory index was 0.21, the Finn cycling index and the mean path length were 2.62% and 2.22 respectively. This study showed that the ecosystem of ecological restoration area in Haizhou Bay was still on a relatively low maturity and stability condition, and at a developing stage and providing adequate supply of energy for fish and other major consumer groups. The results presented in the study can provide the important basic data for evaluating the performance of artificial reef deployed in the Haizhou Bay.
