Functions design of marine GIS and its implement based on user location

  • In order to meet the needs of marine users,this paper proposed a new method that was different from the traditional methods in the software development process of marine GIS.It was a design method of Web service architecture.Combining the technology system of service-oriented architecture,multi-source and heterogeneous marine environmental data integration and sharing can be effectively achieved through the analysis of user types and the function of the design system.It can offer online analysis and remote visualization of the marine environmental information for marine users.The paper has detailed description of the method from the architecture and implementation of key technologies.And the method has been applied in the integrated remote marine information service system.Finally,the integrated remote marine information service system was demonstrated,taking some marine environmental data as empirical data,such as sea flow field data and sea surface temperature data.This system providesa reference for the effective integration of all kinds of marine environmental data as well as the sharing and exchange of distributed multi-source and heterogeneous data.What's more,this system supplies marine users with transparent one-stop web applications and marine users can access to it to search and obtain valuable information andvalue-added application.Besides,this method contributes to the technical accumulation and exploration for the construction of Digital Ocean.And it has been proved that the method proposed in this paper is correct and technically feasible.
